The views from the house will simply blow you away! This brand-new, architect designed, contemporary home perches high on the banks of Scotland's largest salmon river: The River Tay. Limestone flooring features throughout the public areas of the house and large floor to ceiling windows offer views of the river from virtually every room. The soft, neutral colours throughout and the cathedral ceiling in the open plan living area add to the feeling of light and space in the house. The house sleeps 12 people in 6 spacious double bedrooms, 3 of which can be made into twin rooms and all bedrooms have ensuite facilities, three have both a bath and a shower and three just have showers. All of the bedrooms have the same stunning views of the river and most have access to either the terrace or first floor balcony.
The living area with its stunning views, and comfortable seating leads on to the open plan dining kitchen area and there is a separate utility/drying room and downstairs cloakrooom. Outside the sound of the river simply adds to the experience. On the main terrace, which is accessible from the living room and all the downstairs bedrooms, there is a hot-tub which seats 6 people, and all the facilities you would need for eating al-fresco, including a gas barbecue.
Should the Scottish weather let you down(!) and you tire of the views and the wood-burning stove, there is a large wall-mounted Television with Sky+ (with Sky sports package), a DVD player, an iPod docking station, CD player and a selection of books, magazines and board-games. The house is fitted with Wi-Fi internet access.
The kitchen has an electric fan-assisted, double oven, 5 ring ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, large American style fridge-freezer (with ice-maker and filtered water dispenser), dishwasher and wine chiller. It is well stocked with glasses, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, utensils and there is an electric mixer, scales and a hand-blender and some great cookery books should you decide to get adventurous in the kitchen!
There is an additional fridge, a washing machine, tumble dryer and a drying pulley in the utility room.
The house is centrally heated with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.
Each bedroom has a television, DVD Player, alarm clock radio, iPod docking station and hairdrier.
